My name is Terry Shimada, and I am President & CEO of Global M&M Consulting Inc. For decades, I have worked as an expatriate for a leading Japanese company in Australia, the United States, and Europe. I was blessed with great work and colleagues, and I devoted myself to everything I did.
During that time, I experienced turbulent global trends, from the high-growth era to the oil shocks. However, the foundation that has kept me from forgetting my dreams and continuing to challenge myself through all the times is the business philosophy of Panasonic founder Konosuke Matsushita, which was instilled in me from a young age. My ability to take on various challenges around the world without losing my pride as a Japanese business person has been a great asset, and I am grateful to the company and its great founder. Living and doing business in various countries has taught me a lot as an international businessman.
Leveraging this long-standing experience, I founded Global M&M Consulting after returning from Germany, with the desire to bridge the gap between Japanese and international businesses.
